The fine print
Based on local tax laws, guests with a tourist visa to Israel are exempted from paying VAT for their reservation. Israeli citizens and residents ("non tourists" as defined in the VAT law) must pay VAT. This tax is automatically calculated in the total cost of the reservation for domestic customers. For guests booking from outside of Israel, the tax is not included in the total price.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. ISLA is amazing! The beds are super comfy and private. Definitely the comfiest dorm beds I've every stayed in. The location is great, very central and close to the beach, bars, restaurants, and easily accessible via public transportation. The food and coffee at the cafe attached to the hostel was great and very reasonably priced. The bathrooms were great! The showers were nice and hot and everything was always very clean. We also made friends with the other people in our room, which was a bonus. I would highly recommend ISLA!
