The place has a wonderful atmosphere, comfortable interiors and a great location. Pictures, photographs and grandfather clocks abound (the latter whilst mostly working do not thankfully chime !). The staff were very helpful and friendly. The kitchen staff in particular were able and willing to amend the sauces and serving with a particular dish due to my food allergy. Tavistock is a great location whether you want the Moors, the coast or the many historic sites nearby - including our favourite National Trust house (Cotehele).

Room was rather small. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. We were surprised to be charged for parking.

Fantastic location with easy access to all the shops. Loved the history of the hotel and all the interesting paintings/furnishings. Food was excellent.

Breakfast was lovely evening meal was good (went for the specials) i was not disappointed at all. the only criticism and this is splitting hairs is the TV size and placement but that is more personal preference
