Sebastiao is the consumate host. His property is exquisite. Wonderful ambience adorned with sophistication decorated with tasteful artwork. Everything that Casa do Rio offers is exceptional with a true unique feeling of freedom and sublime tranquility. Thank you Sebastiao Regards H Helen

Close to the bus station and town. We stayed for 2 nights and had a lovely time in Tavira, which is a beautiful little town. I have a few small comments which may help others when booking. Our room was on the second floor and we struggled with carting luggage up and down as there is no lift. The bed was too small for us (not their fault) as I didn't realise this when we booked. The manager was very friendly and can't fault the service.

Owner was there to greet us at checkin. Lovely hotel with parking next door. Beautiful garden and pool. Our room had a great outdoor terrace with a view overlooking the river. It is next to a train track, and when they go by it is very loud, but it's only for less than 10 seconds (seriously the sound just comes on quick and then it goes away just as quick), and they don't run often and not between 11:00pm and 7:00am. Not a big deal AT ALL. Great location just a short walk from the center and the ferry that takes you to the Isle da Tavira. We loved it!

A wonderful bohemian feel with fabulous artwork. Obviously the owner has a great eye for design . Fabulous pool . Charming friendly host.

Proximity to town centre, swimming pool and quietness of location ( except train passing overhead which is not a real problem as it is a short crossing)

Property has a lot of quirky charm. Good location , 10 minutes walk to centre of town. Nice little balcony area off the room. Parking just outside the property. Good comfortable mattress.
