Fantastic location, very comfortable and clean had an amazing view over the squre and bridge. My seperate bathroom was spotless and great shower. The square is lively and there are nice cafes below the guest house but they didn't stay open very late and the night was quiet. The shutters keep the room cool and dark for sleeping as the square is well lit. A shared kitchen with all the basics and fridge. Washing machine was available for a charge and outside drying area.

We had the kingfisher suite overlooking Praça de República. It was very relaxing to have breakfast when the river was right before your eyes. The suite is beautiful and spacious. Very friendly staff, Miguel at the reception and the lady - I think she is in charge of cleaning - who let us see other rooms to satisfy my curiosity.

Wonderful light filled high ceiling room with double aspect. Great views of the river and the bustle below. Enjoyed so much I stayed an extra day.
