The hostel is clean and tidy, rooms are spacious and have big lockers to store your stuff. Bathrooms and showers are regularly cleaned. Staff is friendly and communicative. The hostel is also close to the intercity bus stop.

The manager Octavio is a great guy. The hotel can accommodate up to around 50 guests and there are two common rooms (dining and leisure room), so there are plenty of opportunities to get to know new people. It is fairly close to different stores, although without a car/bike it can be a hassle to do a proper grocery trip.

Lots of storage in lockable wardrobes and under bed. Location was perfect and just 5 minute walk from the coast, bars, restaurants and shops. Felt very safe, clean and staff were very friendly.

Nice staff, room was adequately sized, no issues with noise at all - patrons were respectful. Great location for things at the Tauranga domain and not far to the Mount. Decently sized fidge, kettle and microwave in our room was great.

First off, a massive thank you to the receptionist. He was great, and very friendly, especially when I told him I celebrated his home country Argentina winning the World Cup. On a serious note, the hostel is quite a nice place, with good bathroom facilities (I appreciate the fully walled-in toilet cubicles and shower rooms), and a great location in the town. Only a 5 minute walk from all of the bars and restaurants on the waterfront.

Very friendly staff. A lot of appliances in the kitchen. Room was very clean with all the basic equipment. Good Wi-Fi connection. Overall good place to stay for a night on the way.

Octavio was very friendly and inclusive. There are books and jigsaw puzzles in the hostel that you can use. The location is good as it's close to the city center. Colourful and cozy. Good value for money and it's a hostel I'd be okay to stay for a longer time.

- Comfy room - Good possibility of job on a kiwi orchard with transport directly from hostel :)
