Great room at a nicely decorated hotel. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable with a high quality bedsheets. Very close to the beach and restaurants.

Perfect example of the new breed of hotels for travellers who want a beautiful place to stay, but don’t need lots of extras. Sensitively and beautifully restored Moorish house in Tairfa’a lovey old town. Well-equipped communal kitchen. Stunning roof terrace. Simple but lovely room decor.

El Palacio has the potential to be an outstanding place to experience Tarifa. It is a new Riad and think a few little kinks to work through. The location is excellent short walk two mins to the main part of the old town with its great restaurants and bars but on a side street with little noise, the double glass eliminates any noise in the room and the black out wooden shutters do a great job. The rooms are as shown in the pictures and it’s super clean, great shower and fluffy white towels. I was in Tarifa to enjoy a local Hammam Spa and massage due to back ache after a bad fall. The beds in my opinion were a little hard, great beds but firm, I like a firm bed but would have been great if a comfortable mattress topper was available and as it was Dec it was a little cold at night I could not get the heat setting on the remote control for the ac unit. I am sure this was easily remedied maybe an instruction card in the room could be added. Upstairs on the chill out terrace is gorgeous, comfortable seating and ambient lighting. Great kitchen facilities and ample amounts of tea, coffee, refreshments etc.

Very good communication, beautiful old converted building in the old town. Room was excellent, bed really comfy and a great shower. Very close to numerous eateries. Main street 5 minutes away. 10/15 minute walk to the bus station. Was really good that you use the kitchen , roof terrace was wonderful. Some lovely old floor and wall tiles. Town also had some good bus services to Algeciras, Cadiz and onwards. Beach area was lovely and the views over to Morocco were superb. Great streets to wander about. Would recommend and stay in the futures. Cheers 😁😁
