We booked our stay at Colibri a bit randomly to have a stop during a trekking in the canyon. It was a true gem! The rooms are modern and very comfortable. The beds are massive. The staff is extremely relaxed and helpful. We had dinner and it was simple and delicious I couldn’t have wished for anything different. We had to wake up at 5 to start the hike back and really didn’t expect to have breakfast as well … but yes there was and one of the best we had so far. Highly recommend and is the perfect stop if you want to avoid big organised groups because they all stop in a different town.

The family who runs this place is super friendly and helpful! Also, surrounded by amazing nature! The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. The upper ones should have a good view on the canyon. It’s a good place if you want to have a more quiet and relaxed Colca experience. The dinner and breakfast were excellent, with fresh fruits and veggies, and the dinner was really filling - great after a day of hiking!

We had a great stop on our Cabanaconde-Llahuar-San Juan trek. Rivelino was very warm and friendly. We even got the dinner earlier than normal as we were starving and had much needed sleep in very comfy bed before our final part of the trek. Very recommended.

It was such a lovely stay here. We couldn’t find it for a short time but then dogs showed us the way, that was cute. 😊 We probably had 1 of the best meals in Peru here. The dinner was huge with an amazing starter and everything was made of homemade fruits and vegetables, everything was full of flavors! Don’t forget to order a mango juice! It is a must here. 😍 The owner was really nice, we had a quite long chat about their situation (covid and then demonstrations). And of course at last but not at least, we took the upgraded room upstairs and it was a pleasure to stay there (much nicer than at the pictures). We had a small balcony for the relaxation and view at the mountain and canyon, in the room there was a huge window which was facing the mountain. Just a paradise!! The room seemed just refurbished, furniture and decorstions were completely unexpected for Peru, very elegant and maybe close to scandinavian style. The bathroom was super nice. I hope the situation is much better now than in Dec22/Jan23 and tourists are coming over. Really wish it to this family. 😊🤞

An absolutely lovely place inside the canyon run by a nice family with a view of the mountain and lush vegetation. The food was delicious (simple, but the best we had during our travels in Peru). The biggest surprise is the bed, which you would not expect in a place you visit primarily for the nature and hiking opportunity - it is huge and so comfortable.

The room was incredible, not something you expect to stumble on in the canyon. Very comfy bed, we also had a nice little balcony. Dinner was really nice as well as breakfast (pancakes with banana and dulce de leche), the family were lovely and couldn’t do enough to help us, pointing out the best route for us to get a shortcut out of the village the next day.

Beautiful rooms, very modern. You have your own apartment with balcony and a nice view. Very flexible on breakfast and dinner time. You could get fresh juice from their garden and the guacamole was from heaven. Would definitely recommend
