Sylvia is the best host we have ever had in our travels of years. Always around to help when needed. Have the best recommendation for food and drinks and even the croissant! The rooms were comfy, the balcony was lovely. All the facilities to make your own food as well.

We had to co-ordinate by Whatsapp so that our (very helpful) host was at the premises when we arrived. (She was indeed waiting outside). The apartment is in a small building of 4 apartments apparently purpose-built for holiday rental, and our ground floor apartment had a marginal view of the sea. But the building has a rooftop terrace where we could eat, sit and enjoy a glass of wine and a spectacular view of the town and the coast, not to mention a volcano. Although open to all guests, the terrace was never busy, The apartment was clean (the building looks newly renovated, if not newly built, as of 2024) and our apartment (number 4) ideal for a couple. It would be crowded, but possible, for four people. We did not use the cooking facilities. The stop for the bus to Castelmola (another few hundred metres more above sea level) is at the top of the street (couple of minutes walk) and an evening/sunset trip up there was one of the highlights of our stay. Provided a spectacular view of Etna. We highly recommend it. Note that the return bus trip stops in town, not where you caught it, owing to the one-way system, so you have a longer walk back.

The host was super kind and helpful with us, the view from the rooftop terrace was great and the apartment is perfectly located as being in walking distance to everything you need during your stay in Taormina.
