Sandra took really good care of everyone throughout, she seemed to be around every time we returned or went out of the hotel and took exceptional care and attention to detail with any requests. She is a huge asset to the property and definitely goes the extra mile to ensure the guests are happy.

Very welcoming. Unfortunately, couldn’t enjoy the gardens and terrace due to poor weather. Lovely open fire in the evenings.

Arriving at La Maison de Tanger is like stepping into another world. The reception leads into a delightful open plan lounge which feels immediately comfortable but also special. Outside and down the wrought iron staircase there's a lovely layered terrace and a small pool, surrounded by lots of trees and plants. It wasn't quite the weather to sit outside during our one-night stay, sadly, but we enjoyed looking down at it from our breakfast table. We also enjoyed a restorative gin and tonic - excellent value during the 'happy hour' - in the lounge before heading out for dinner. Dinner is also possible here (and I'm sure it's excellent) but it needs to be booked in advance, which we hadn't done. This hotel stands out for it's attention to detail. Our room was small (perfect for one night) but had everything we needed - a comfortable bed, good lighting, excellent bathroom mirrors, a powerful shower, a kettle. Breakfast the next day was outstanding - a beautifully presented range of bread, pastries, fruit etc, good coffee and the offer of eggs of our choice cooked to order. All the staff we met were friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about delivering great service. It was a real treat to stay here.

We had a wonderful stay in this guest house, it’s conveniently located close to the old Medina, very clean and very comfortable room. The establishment has its own distinct charm and character, I highly recommend it

Breakfast was very good. Sandra the Manager is very professiinal and gave us a very warm welcome. This beautifully designed house, built as I understand at the beginning of the 20th century, has an extremely spacious layout with lots of interesting design features, The garden is tiered with abundant shaded areas.

Really enjoyed this boutique hotel. Host was great, lovely green outdoor areas for when the weather is nice, a lovely lounge with a great fire going in the cool of winter and an alcohol licence so a great spot to have a drink away from the busy Medina. Our room (Room 1) was lovely, though claimed to have a bathtub which was really only 15cm high too shallow to call a bathtub and, in any case, did not have a plug to fill. The separate toilet would also be a bit tight for someone with mobility problems. Having said that we did enjoy our short stay and would love to stay for longer next time
