It’s a rare chance to stay in a beautiful old Sri Lankan house. The pool and the rear garden are fabulous. It’s a very large, spacious house - well situated both for the town and the beach.

Stuart houses a great place to stay, bedrooms are large each with ensuite.The also have a fan and aircon. The pool is great on a hot day and there are also sunbeds.Jayantha the caretaker is pleasant and polite and always ready to help. Krishni the owner is always available on WhatsApp if you need to get in contact with her and responds quickly.There is a small beach 5 minutes walk from the house and a much larger one 25 minute walk (5 minutes by tuk tuk) with plenty of bars and restaurants.If you are visiting Tangalle I would highly recommend Stuart houses.

Such a gorgeous house! Much bigger than in photos. Host was very generous allowing us a late checkout for our evening flight. She also provided a list of things to do locally and was very responsive to our queries.
