This is a really special place in the mountains. We stayed as part of a treck in the mountains - our first in Japan. We stayed late December when it’s cold and this was warm and welcoming with a really lovely feel

Warm staff, great dinner experience, beautiful views of the mountains from the room. You could wake up to the misty views and see the stars at night.

Everything! The location is in one of the most beautiful places. The food was delicious and staff were kind, enjoyable, hospitable and made connections with each of us. Highlight was our hosts guitar playing, sitting by the outside fire, onsen, dinner and meeting other wonderful travellers. Will definitely stay again.

Super beautiful place with cool interior and amazing onsen! Dinner and breakfast was delicious, along with the local sake. Amazing hosts as well, we got treated to live flamenco by the owner Jian! I hope to return soon :)

We loved everything about this place. Incredibly friendly and welcoming vibe. Great views, beautiful traditional rooms and a great communal living area. Food was beautiful. Oh and of course the onsen

It's located at a wonderful place, commanding a fine view. In the morning, finally understand why the name is Kirinosato. And, the place was with great hospitality.

It was amazing! The dinner was one of the best we had in japan, they also made some dishes special for my husband as he has some allergies. Hospitality was superb!

The stuff was so friendly and charming. The Location with the view was just like a movie. The Onsen was great. The diner and breakfast was a mix with western and japanese food. Would come again for sure. Perfect if you are doing the komano kodo.
