Varala is a sports facility that has some rooms for hotel use so it is a very lively sporty place, there are also longer term courses there I think. Room and bathroom fine although basic. Sufficient breakfast and ok for Finns, people from other countries might find it lacking because there was nothing sweet included. The place is in a beautiful location if it was summer, right by a lake and lots of walks around, near a hill with a tower you can walk up to. Yet a short drive or bus drive from the city centre.

Good location, by the water, to which our room had a view to (twin room). Friendly reception staff. Basic, good breakfast buffet (bread with fillings, porridges etc). Quiet rooms, heard hardly anything from neighbors. Restaurants and K-market quite close & saw buses riding on the next road.

Amazing place! Wonderful nature, very nice view to the sea. There is a playground for kids. If you are with family, it is the right place. The stuff is very nice! We arrived on weekend around 7pm, although it was the end of work day the administrator welcomed us very warm and advised us where to visit and how to go. The atmosphere is nice!

Location is great, if you travel by car / don't mind the bus trip from the city - and want the view over the lake, in beautiful forest. Great location for long walks, jogging, etc.
