Hostel Overview

Offering ski-to-door access and situated on the south side of Chopok Mountain, Chata Kosodrevina is set in Tale, a 30 to 40-minute walk from the next parking area. Ski Tale is 7 km from the property. Free WiFi is featured.

Please note that the property can not be accessed by car. Parking is paid. Parking is possible near Srdiečko ski lift. You need to take a hike to get to Chata Kosodrevina, during the winter it is possible to use cable cars. The other parking - Krupová - is in walking distance as well, cable cars from Krupová can be used during the whole year.
Please note that the price of the accommodation does not include the transport by cable cars. The guest must pay for the cable cars.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. “Perfect location with a bit old-school touch, but amazing for skiing experience!”

The cabin (chata) is quite old-school, but we just loved it there. The location is just perfect for skiing (or hiking) holidays - you are basically on the slope. Half board is included (buffet breakfast and two courses (soup + main course) dinner). You can borrow the towel (5EUR deposit).

You need to prepare that this will not be your 4 star stay in a mountain hotel. The accommodation is mainly used by schools on school trips and it is basic but perfect enough for a proper ski trip vibe with a disco bar and pool/ football table. The room was clean. Also the breakfast selection is huge.

It was a nostalgic trip to the past for my Slovak girlfriend, back to socialist times. It was a nice lively place, easy to meet people. It is right on the slopes, 2m from the gondola. The food was good.

Great simple old fashioned hospitality. You won't get luxury or spa treatment, but if you come to ski and have a good meal for breakfast and dinner, this is the place for you. In the middle of the mountain az 1500 m-s right at the ski slopes.
