The view was breathtaking as I had never seen beautiful snow views like that before. It was easy to move around in the area and you could easily find things you need even though the hotel doesn't provide food itself. The staff members are very friendly and helpful, and willing to go above and beyond when we needed some help. I love the outdoor onsen in particular. I was a bit worried if we couldn't use it before we arrived because we were told it was 'first come, first serve'. It was actually available most of the time so we got to use it twice during our 1 night stay. Awesome experience.

The location was convenient and close to the bus terminal and it was fairly cheap compared to the other ryokan in the region. There were private hotsprings which were a nice touch.

The Tabist is inside the heart of Hirayu Onsen, near everything. The dinner in the Hirayucan, the hotel in the other side of the street, was amazing! The snow is really high in mid-December and the hot springs are outstanding.

Location is very handy, a very short walk from the bus station. It has private onsen room. It doesn't include meals but that means we don't need to pay additional but rather choose what we eat outside.

The place is great. Even outside it looks little old but inside the room and everything look clean and nice. If I have change I would like to come back here for sure. Also this is the great place to stop by Kamikōchi. Stay here at less 2 night would be excellent.

Great accommodation in Hirayu Onsen. May be the best accommodation i ever had in my travels. The private outdoor onsen was amazing, staff very serviceable and room spotlessly clean.

Beautiful onsen hotel with spacious, clean rooms. The hotel has 4 private onsen baths, including 2 outdoor baths! The rooms also have private bathrooms. We had a lovely stay!

Beautiful rooms with great mountain views. Five minutes from bus station- location is perfect for visiting Kamicochi and shinhotaga ropeway.
