Please note this property is located in Okuhida Hot Spring Villages. Guests will need to take a bus from JR Takayama Station.Guests arriving after 18:00 must inform the property directly in advance via email or phone. Contact details can be found on the booking confirmation.
Please note that the property is not staffed after 20:00 and guests who do not contact the property in advance will not be able to to check-in after this time.Please note that there are no restaurants, convenience stores or supermarkets around the hotel. Guests are kindly advised to dine in the city centre or to bring take-out meals to the hotel.Please note, as the property is located in the mountains, there may be some insects such as Pentatomoidea, or shield bugs nearby. The shield bugs can cause an odor if agitated.

The staff were lovely and attentive and spoke fantastic English. Information on the services available was written clearly in multiple languages, making it very easy to understand. There were also diagrams for using the public onsen, which was extremely helpful for a first-time user. The food was absolutely delicious. The Hida beef course was well worth the additional cost. The whole hotel had a quiet and calming atmosphere, which was perfect for relaxing in the onsens.

The baths were a beautiful way to relax in the evening. I had them to myself every time. The food was delicious and they kindly made vegetarian food for me

Food was sooooooo delicious. The baths were stunning and relaxing. Staff were amazing. Room was beautiful and comfortable (although the futon was probably a little thin for me). Really loved our stay and would come back!

A great place to stay. The food is amazing and the staff very kind. Across two nights I have spent four hours in the private hot springs during snow.

After staying in small japanese twin rooms, Kazeya was an apartment. It evan had a separate dining room in the apartment. Very spacious. The traditional japanese meals were elaborate and beautifully presented. The outside onsens were great. Staff were helpful and friendly. Stayed for one night, but it felt much longer as it was so relaxing.
