The beautifully restored, quirky house (an old apothecary) had big personalised rooms (ours had an in-room bath tub) and everything is clean & tidy. The owners - an artist couple- make you feel v welcome: they made us dinner after our trip even though they normally don't offer that, but everything was closed due to Covid. It was all very familial, cosy and heartwarming

INCREDIBLY hospitable hosts! They invited us personally to a celebration of the new chimney, it was so quaint and homely. The style of the house is old, but there were so many little details that were nice. The furniture seemed all more antique, solid wooden breakfast bench - the breakfast was most if not all sourced locally (also from the back garden, with homemade jam and fruits). We were able to stay with our dog (who was welcome to go to the back garden, which looks like it is amazing to sit outside in the spring/summer... we stayed around Christmas), the host's cocker spaniel was cautiously friendly with our dog, the cat wasn't a huge fan. We would definitely love to stay here again during a different season!
