It was a very welcome enviroment over all. The host - Helena - has created a very warm place for her guests. Our room was the perfect size, a huge gardarobe, all the amenities necessary and view to the mountains. She has prepared for us a breafast with whatever you could imagine, giving us the freedom to use the kitchen of the accomodation and create our own eggs. She also let us free to use this kichen through out the day without limitations. That gave us the feeling of "Home". She was very helpful with our transfer to the airport and she also put a laundry for us with no cost. The location of the house is unique.

You can relax perfectly, because there is not always a good internet and phone connection between the mountains.

The kitchen had all the appliances we needed, all clean and in working order. The breakfast was good and there were always local fruits available throughout the day. We could cook any time, there were plenty of dishes available and the fridge had enough storage capacity. Bed sheets and towels were changed everyday. The view outside was absolutely amazing. We will definitely return in our next Madeira holiday

Our recent stay at Solar do Carvalho proved to be a tranquil getaway. We selected a ground-floor room with a double bed, providing a snug retreat. The room, generously proportioned and impeccably kept, set a soothing atmosphere. The daily housekeeping ensured a consistently high standard of cleanliness. The central location was a definite asset, affording swift access to every corner of the island within an hour's drive, thereby simplifying our exploration of Madeira's natural marvels. It is worth noting that a car is indispensable for reaching this location. The communal kitchen, while convenient, may necessitate some coordination with fellow guests due to the multiple-room layout. However, this minor inconvenience did not overshadow the overall positive experience. Furthermore, while breakfast offerings were modest, they proved to be ample for our requirements. In summary, our stay in Sao Vicente offered a memorable retreat. The blend of capacious rooms, assiduous housekeeping, and a strategically advantageous location ensured a comfortable and convenient visit. Despite minor considerations, this accommodation comes recommended for a serene stay in Madeira.

Beatiful and quiet apartments. Close to the nature and the most beatiful places on the island. Helena is exceptional host. Thank you for making my stay in Madeira even more pleasurable.

Overall the accommodation at Helena's was excellent. Everything clean and tidy. Breakfasts were plentiful and we even had the opportunity to wash our dirty laundry after the challenging trails. Thank you so much for the opportunity to be in this accommodation. We would definitely recommend it to others.

This was hands down the best accommodation I experienced in Madeira. Helena is extremely caring and friendly. You can see how much she enjoys hosting her guests. I felt right at home staying there. She provides so much for guests: a spectacular shared kitchen (including a dishwasher!), free fruit (some picked from her garden!), access to her herb garden, a sampling of local liquors and laundry (which is such a big treat if you're traveling for a while). The place is very conveniently located near Sao Vincente. a great area to locate yourself for easy access to pretty much anywhere on the island. plus you get an amazing view of the valley.

Everything was great. Our host was really friendly and helpful. The rooms were big, very clean and had all the amenities. We especially enjoyed the balcony with an amazing view.
