It was a lovely location, staff are friendly and do their job. We were annoyed that we could not use the sauna unless we booked a treatment. When we choose to book a hotel it is so we can use these amenities included in the 5 star pricing, not as additional costs. The lighting is awful, and makes it difficult to see in cupboards and just not user friendly.

Nice view from the full harbour view room. Bed was reasonably comfortable (8/10). Very nice breakfast with lots of healthy options. Indoor pool was good given the weather was terrible. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

Great location. We had a minor issue with the TV, rang reception with a very short space of time. A very pleasant unhelpful engineer came up and got things fixed. Could not fault the hotel or the staff and would definitely recommend the hotel and we’ll stay there when we next visit Sydney.

Great, characterful hotel that tries to upend the usual conservative hotel conventions and does that very well. Extremely comfy beds, loved the "wet areas", great bars, location is excellent - a fabulous hotel but I would probably only stay there as a one off. Sometimes the fashionable/trendy aspects override the practical - see negatives.
