Great place to sit outside, with many bikes (including children’s sizes) to take for free. Great location to explore the old town and temples from. And calm at night

I really enjoyed my stay at Smilingface Guesthouse and will definitely choose this place again if I go back to Sukhothai. Kwan the lady who runs it is amazing, she's very kind and welcoming, making sure that you have everything you need and always smiling. Breakfast is nice and freshly made, and you get to choose from a few different options. The place is located in a very peaceful street, just a few minutes walk from the historical site of Sukhothai, and you can borrow a bike to explore the area. I stayed in a tent on the terrasse which was a fun experience and a good option for a solo traveller as it was cheaper than renting a room. The tent was quite small but it had a comfy matress, a duvet and a light. I'm not a tall person and it didn't rain so I was perfectly fine and I slept very well !

historical park was close by and there were a few restaurants but no bars. Street food close by. At 6.20am the monks accepted alms on the bridge from the temple in the centre. Bicycles were provided for free. All in all a lovely experience.
