The hotel was easy to find and is a short walk from the village center which has a nice café, a shop, as well as additional shops that look like they're only open during the summer. Our bed was very comfy and the hotel was spotless. It smelled very fresh and clean. You can tell it's an old hotel, but I think that gives it that extra charm. I would say it looks "tired" - more like vintage or rustic. Our room was spacious and the bathroom functional - what more do you need? Not sure why folks on here are moaning about the bathroom being small. I mean, you just go in there to do your business and wash. Looking at the other reviews, it seems a lot of people come here expecting the Ritz while also believing they're in an episode of Four In A Bed. We personally really liked this hotel and thought it was very clean, warm, and comfortable.

The hotel was excellent. I loved the Richmond bar,prices for drinks were very good, Liam, and partner. we're very welcoming and made my stay exceptionally good . The rooms were spotless with great en suite shower.

Very comfortable beds, spotless bedding and towels. Great location to walk down to the shops and square. We had a lovely meal in Unwined which is 2 mins walk away. Very good communication regarding check in and check out. Virtual check in, no need to see anyone on arrival just went straight into rooms. Rooms very cosy and housekeeping is obviously very thorough.

The location is great, and the first night of two was very peaceful. Even though a bar downstairs you couldn't hear the chatter etc in the room. There was a bath with shower over bath setup. Clean room with character, ours was pale green colour walls,I really liked it. Evening food was lovely. No tv.. great! .
