Perfect location, close to the train station and in the center of Strasbourg. The staff was always kind and uncomplicated when we had to switch rooms.

If you wanted to wander around the Sofitel hotel, then this is the place for you…all of the hotel areas, like the bar or restaurant, belong to the Sofitel hotel, which adjoins the building, you enter by a discreet door beside the lift and next to the water dispenser! … The Mercure, has rooms, as stated, however little else… apart from a small entrance lobby with a reception desk, a small sofa seating area and a water machine, there the lifts take you to your rooms, which are fairly standard to the Mercure style, though I was surprised at the paper cups rather than the more normal China and glass.

The hotel is next to the city center, at 3 minutes walking distance from a central tram station, convenient to reach any corner of the city.
