located in middle of hustoric town. Old building with loads of character. Room was spacious and modern and very well presented. Getting up the stairs was a challenge but obviously part of the age of the wonderful building ...no need to apologise for that (we were warned when booking). Only disappointment was that the bar was decorated and felt like every other smart restaurant in town , not a traditional pub which we had been looking forward to. Why is everywhere in Stow painted "tasteful" grey/green!

This is a lovely place to stay. It is very welcoming and perfect right in the heart of the town. The room was well presented and clean and the facilities were great. The staff were polite and friendly. The breakfast had a great choice and was very tasty.

The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The dinner in the evening and the breakfast the following morning were all very good. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Check in and check out was easy. There was parking at the rear of the pub which was very convenient.

The staff were fantastic, friendly, and helpful. A very charming building, full of history, clean and comfortable. Central to everything. The food was excellent. Would highly recommend.

Friendly staff, nice comfortable room with separate sitting area, good breakfast, lovely location in centre of town. Hotel quiet as off season.
