Fantastic building, excellent meal in the Bistro with good variety, breakfast offered you could ask for. Staff very welcoming Only reason not a 10 , only 2 ales in draught but did not detract from a lovely stay

Very pleased with our stay at The Bell Inn (in June '21). Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. Car parking facilities are good and outside areas and seating looked attractive and inviting. The bar, bistro and restaurant areas were presented sympathetically in keeping with the age of building but were well furnished, modern and well maintained. Our room was delightful - decorated & furnished to a very high standard. Bed and linen was so-oo comfortable. Cleanliness was excellent in the room and en suite. High quality bathroom products were full-sized (not tiddly little sample-bottles sized that you often get). Facilities in the room exceeded expectations - including a Nespresso machine and capsules for a real cup of coffee and nice quality biscuits - what a bonus! We enjoyed a superb dinner in the restaurant. The menu was sophisticated and diverse - and the food was really delicious. Staff were lovely and attentive. And the food really was fabulous and delivered to the table promptly, nice and hot too. Ditto the breakfast. Social distancing etc was carefully observed but the restaurant and atmosphere of the Inn in general didn't feel sparse or isolating, even at tables - just nice and spacious and enjoyable. The Bell Inn is a truly lovely olde-worlde coaching inn - with all the atmosphere you could possibly want from an ancient watering hole - but with all the contemporary details and facilities included. Rooms are very reasonably priced too, for the quality presented. We were reccy-ing the venue for a family birthday get-together later in the year - and were delighted with what we found there. Highly recommended and an all round 5*****'s in every respect. So pleased we're coming back with the family soon!!
