More sumptuous than a guest house and more homely than a hotel, Summerwood is an adults only guest house situated in beautiful Stellenbosch, nestled between mountains and rivers, the perfect base from which to explore.
Conveniently located within easy reach of the Winelands, Cape Town and its spectacular scenery, the guest house is set in a serene garden featuring a wide variety of indigenous plants. Originally built in 1904, it was designed by famous architect Mello Damstra and has been lovingly restored to meet the demands of the modern traveler.

“A perfect getaway”

It was simply beautiful. The house was spotlessly clean, very stylishly designed and very tranquil. What I liked the most was the friendly host Fiona and her delicious breakfast options. This is far more than just a guest house.

The estate is situated in a beautiful, quiet and safe neighbourhood. It's just 15 minutes' walk (quite safe even at nicht) to downtown. Everything was spotlessly clean and very stylishly designed. However, what we liked the most was how friendly and professional the hostess Fiona and her staff was and how extraordinary the Breakfast was!
