Known as the 'Courtyard Rooms', these double rooms overlook a Tuscan-style inner courtyard home to a Plane tree and beds of lavender. The rooms each feature its own balcony or terrace.

Avalon Suite - enter dates to see room photos

The elegant Avalon Suite is spacious and modern, and features a separate sitting-room with a gas fireplace. The balcony is accessible by French doors on two sides of the sitting-room which leads guests to scenic views of the vineyards and mountains. With French doors opening on two sides onto a wrap-around balcony, the Vineyard Suite boasts a bedroom offering views. There is a comfortable seating area and TV room. An inter-leading room can be added to the suite for additional accommodation at a surcharge, which makes this suite well-suited for families. The bed features Egyptian cotton linen and various pillow types are available. The bathroom features a separate bath, shower and double basin. Two different sets of amenities and a selection of bath salts are also offered.

Winery location was spectacular. The grounds peaceful, beautiful and plenty of flowers and paths to enjoy. The lake and surroundings divine. Our suite quite nice and well equipped. Staff extremely helpful, attentive and customer service oriented. The food at the restaurant beautifully presented and of excellent quality. The wine tasting informational and fun with a passionate sommelier. We also enjoyed the art exposed around the property supporting local artists.

Lovely location. Nice facilities. Some outstanding staff. I don’t normally name check but Calvin was truly outstanding ( wine tasting and food pairing) and Ricardo’s service at breakfast was very good.

My wife and I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel welcome from the start. Our room was spotless, and the hotel itself was beautifully maintained. Breakfast was excellent, with a great selection to start the day. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!”

Beautiful property - takes you away from the daily hustle and bustle. Being from the city, just walking around on the property was joy. Good food and service. Happy with the rooms provided. Asara is about 15 minutes drive from Stellenbosch town center. Another option is to visit the Lavendar fields - approx. 5 minutes drive from the property
