Hostel Overview

Skansen Hostel is 10 minutes’ walk from Stavanger Central Station. All rooms have a private bathroom with a shower. Free WiFi is available.
Hotel Skansen’s Broremann Bar is a popular local hangout and features a wide range of cocktails, whiskeys and cognacs. Cocktail tasting sessions can also be arranged.
Sightseeing boats to the Lysefjord and Pulpit’s Rock depart from the nearby Vågen Harbour.

Location - its in the centre. Good beds,coffe and kettle. Easy to to check out. Value for money.

The cost was low for the area and had en-suite facilities. The location was perfect within an easy walk of all tourist attractions and the harbour for boat trips. There was heating in the room whenever we needed it. This is not always the case as heating can either be on a timer or non-existent at many places. The bar downstairs was a bonus. The bed was really comfortable. We had a late evening flight, there was no rush whatsoever to have us leave the property at the pre-designated time.

excellent location right on the embankment, all interesting locations within walking distance. the room is clean, the beds are comfortable, in the photo it seems worse, but in fact it is quite cozy. convenient check-in and check-out.

Great location, everything worked in my room, room 26; kettle, lights, heating, Wi-Fi. Most powerful shower I’ve had in Norway so far.
