The breakfast, although the varieties were limited, but the waffle was delicious. We enjoyed food for dinner. The location is sort of out of nowhere with nothing surrounding it, but we only knew that it is to provide clear view of aurora when it appeared, and we saw that beautiful aurora borealis that night.

Loved the place as it was in a good location between Akureyri and Reykjavik. The room was of a good size and comfortable.

The triple room we stayed at was huge, new-looking and clean. The hotel's restaurant was great as was the breakfast. The hot tubs are a great little extra as well.

Great rural location with easy access to ring road. Lots of parking. Staffed well in September, unlike many hotels which are not staffed at all ! Great bar and restaurant, although evening meal choices were limited.

A much nicer room than what you would expect when seeing the building from outside. Lot of foreign TV channels available if you want to watch while waiting for the northern lights :) Great breakfast!!!

comfy beds. massive room with walk in shower. didn't get chance to use the hot tubs because we were too tired but others looked to be enjoying them. breakfast had pickled kippers!

Hótel Laugarbakki is located very central and in a beautiful area with a wonderful view. The staff was very nice and helpful, the room was clean and modern and even though there were a lot of other hotelguests it was still very peaceful and quiet. We also tried the restaurant and liked the food and the ambience.
