Staff were lovely, great breakfast, excellent location in town and short walk to the beaches and train station, quiet and clean room with comfy bed and plenty of convenient charging points. Check in was really easy and quick and was kindly given early check in after a long journey which was greatly appreciated. Check out was also really easy as it was a matter of just leaving the key at reception. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay.

For starters, the location of the hotel was excellent. It was a short walk from the train station, as well as from the main shopping/dining area and the harbour. It was also only a ten-minute walk from the beautiful Porthgwidden Beach. There was also a Co-op opposite that I think was 24 hour (although not 100% sure), and a pub next door (plus many others dotted all over the place). The hotel itself was really pretty. I really liked the interior and the feeling of getting lost in the many alleyway-like corridors. The first room we (myself and my partner) were given we were not happy with; the bathroom had a very musty smell that seeped into the bedroom when the door was opened. Although not the end of the world, it was not ideal. Nevertheless, upon informing the staff, they immediately moved us to an upgraded room that we were more than happy with. It was bigger and had a much better view too (in addition to a window in the bathroom that made a huge difference). Because of the way the staff handled our minor 'complaint', I was delighted with the service and therefore don't want to write anything in the 'What didn't you like' section below. The breakfast was also really good. I am not a huge fan of full English breakfasts, but it was still tasty. Plus there were lots of other things in the continental breakfast to choose from.
