Anyone booking more than one night needs to know the room does not get cleaned. The staff said they are constantly explaining this... so a (bigger) mention on the website could help. Breakfast was good and they made efforts to support dietary needs. Grateful for that. Supper was fried options with chips... no salad in sight.

The owner Lisa went above and beyond in making sure we had a lovely stay. We were put into an upstairs room, but having mobility issues, I struggle doing the stairs, so we asked if we could be moved to another room on the ground floor, she was able to do so the next day. Also, she made us some light bites on the first night we got there, even though the kitchen was closed, nothing was too much trouble for her. The breakfast is lovely, the room was very clean and comfortable.

It was a very clean comfortable room in a good location opposite the train station. The locals using the pub were super friendly and so helpful , I can’t thank them enough.

Well appointed room with a huge comfortable bed. Good lighting, lovely big bathroom with shower over bath. Huge towels provided. Friendly staff.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We booked the 'King sized disabled room ( by mistake). It was nice and spacious. Very clean. Tea, etc. and biscuits. The bed was really comfortable. With the window closed you any traffic or noise from the railway across the road. The bar is a good size with plenty of space. Has a good range of drinks, and serves 'bar food till 8:pm The restaurant is nice and bright and airy. Because we only stayed for 2 nights to visit friends we didn't bother with an evening meal. Breakfast was the usual fare; cereals. tea, coffee and toast. You can order any of the usual cooked breakfast items. All the staff were very friendly and approachable. The 'sun lounges' along right hand side of the the car park is a good feature, but does take up about ten car parking spaces, but I suppose you can't please every one. However, there is space for 12 cars. You cannot book a space as it is a first come first served basis. There is a street to the right up hill as you exit the car park, but it looks like it could get busy up there with the residents. I suppose you could get lucky though and get a space. Dogs are not allowed at this hotel, which was means a lot to us. However guide dogs are allowed If you fancy a change of 'scenery', there is a nice pub ' The Welcome Inn' about 15-20 minuets walk away on the A3082. A nice friendly pub. Good beer and a nice big beer garden at the rear. It is advisable to book a table for a meal.
