I would have given excellent all round as the staff and general facilities were really good. However, the standard room we booked was very small. We felt cramped for space in the room and the bathroom so avoid these rooms if you can

Was in the box room very hot and stuffy for April staff service was excellent made you feel very welcome . Excellent choice of breakfast and great location to sit outside to have a beer or two x

Our room was fabulous but there is nowhere comfortable for hotel guests to sit and relax with a drink, there is just a crowded bar with tables and chairs. The one small sofa was always occupied! Breakfast was very hit and miss and I would not pay for breakfast if I were to go there again….we were forgotten on the first morning and when the breakfast eventually came the eggs were very underdone on bread that was most definitely not sourdough with huge pieces of oily sun dried tomato (not a smash as suggested on the menu). The following morning I asked for avocado and scrambled eggs and I received the breakfast I should have had the day before (with poached eggs!!!). This time it was delicious and there was indeed avo and tomato smash. Each morning we had to ask for fruit as the plate was empty and natural yogurt as this had gone too and it was only 9.am! The breakfast staff seemed rather grumpy but the reception staff were extremely friendly.

Lovely hotel with amazing and friendly staff! Everyone was lovely and helped us with any questions we had around the stay as well as how to get to places! The room was gorgeous, cozy and had everything we needed including a big tote bag for days out and huge waterproof coats for morning sunrises and any rain days! Amazing place!
