Shafi and his wife Fatima are the best hosts one could wish for. The cooking is the best we had in the whole of India. Shafi can tell you lots of things you can do. If you get here in summer he’ll take you up in the mountains in horseback! His nephew Irfan also is a good source of information, took us for a boot trip (peddling) across the Dal Lake. All in all without a doubt our best experience in India!

The quiet and calmness of the lake, surrounded by the mountains, being one with nature, and the rooms are very clean , safe and very friendly and amazing staff, who took care of as the guests as like there family.

Shafi is the best host you can ask for, he will take you on a small boat to the lake and cook delicious food for very good price, together with amazing spice tea. The boat is nice and clean, in a peaceful spot good for exploring both the lake and the city. Another great feature is that it is connected to the shore so you won’t need to take a boat every time you want to reach it. Super recommended.
