Hotel Black Sheep (Loch Lochy) Whispering Pine Lodge at Spean Bridge We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Black Sheep, located right on the serene shores of Loch Lochy. The uninterrupted view of the loch was absolutely breathtaking, making for a peaceful and picturesque retreat. The hotel’s heating system was excellent, keeping us warm and comfortable throughout our stay. The food was another highlight—delicious meals, great pizza, and the complimentary high tea was an unexpected but delightful surprise! The location was ideal, with easy access to Loch Ness and Fort William, making it a perfect base for exploring the Highlands. We stayed in a spacious apartment lodge, which was exceptionally well-appointed. The rooms were large, the shower was great, and the bed was one of the best we've ever had—firm and supportive, unlike the overly soft springy mattresses we usually find in hotels. The furnishings were luxurious, with high-thread-count linens adding to the comfort. Overall, Hotel Black Sheep exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and indulgent Highland getaway!

Could barely fault it. Beautiful location, we stayed in Still Waters cabin and it was gorgeous right on the waterfront. Super clean, warm and cosy and all the little touches were thought of. Wish we could have stayed longer. Had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Food was delicious and staff so welcoming and friendly.

Stunning location. Very clean cabins with plenty mod cons. Restaurant food was wonderful. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend staying - we will be back!

Absolutely beautiful location! Just like the pictures, stunning view of Loch Lochy, right on the shore. Really beautiful ‘cabin’ - if you can call it that, very luxurious and comfortable! Every bedroom had it’s own bathroom, big kitchen area (which we didn’t have time to use, but looked like it had everything you would need). We had dinner in the restaurant, which had decent Indian food. And was a very good spread for the breakfast. Would highly recommend, and definitely come back next time we’re in the area.

Immaculately clean cabin furnished to a high standard. Very comfortable with many comforts for self catering. The bedrooms are luxurious and the cabin is lovely and warm. We had breakfast at the hotel every morning which was very calm and relaxing overlooking the magnificent views on beautiful sunny days. The breakfast is delicious with many options. Immaculately clean and the staff are lovely and helpful. The food area was immaculate with lots of options. Looking forward to returning to this lovely hotel.

The location is magical, the lodges are in pristine condition and beautifully decorated. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The spa therapist is amazing- would definitely recommend a treatment after a day skiing on Nevis. 😊

The cabin was so well decorated. Each room had a bathroom and they even decorated it for Christmas 🎄 with a Christmas tree.
