This charming 16th century coaching inn with 27 refurbished en suite bedrooms, a bar and a restaurant is situated opposite the Norman Minster and close to the town of Newark.
All the rooms at The Saracens have free WiFi, a flat-screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities.
All rates include a full English breakfast.
The Saracens Head mixes the old with the new; offering modern comforts to complement its rich history, which dates even further back than its visit from King Charles in 1642. The inn offers conferencing and banqueting facilities in elegant surroundings.

Very relaxed and friendly for our dogs with a nice walk beside the primary school which we would have explored further if the weather had been more clement. The breakfast was excellent and we loved the clocks.

Restaurant not open on the Saturday night due to staff shortage, however reception desk staff was helpful offering suggestions of where to eat in the town. Restaurant looked rather gloomy but on the Sunday morning for breakfast it looked better and although no central heating on, plenty of electric heaters both in our room and dining room. VERY pleasant young lady served us a good breakfast.

staff are friendly. the room was warm and at the rear of the building so no road noise, but you did hear the extractor in the kitchen below at 6.30am; the room was adequate for our 1 night stay. breakfast was ok, nothing special. staff are friendly. there is parking on site.
