The fine print
Please note that the car park at The Star Hotel has a limited capacity and operates on a first-come, first-served basis, at a cost of GBP 6 per day for cars and GBP 8 for vans. Due to the style of the building, there are narrow and steep stairs leading to the rooms, which may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility.Parking is subject to availability due to limited spaces.
Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The building itself is old and interesting, with a lot of character. My room was even upgraded for no extra cost, which was a lovely bonus!

The propioters were more than happy to help, even helping us with our cases to our room. Although we did not book for an early morning breakfast with our original booking, we were allowed to book when we got there.

Location good. Rooms comfortable apart from being very warm and being on the main street unable to sleep with window open. Breakfast lovely. Room and bathroom could be improved with painting but reliability clean.

Stayed one night for a cruising holiday the next day. Staff, but especially the receptionist were lovely. Breakfast very good, and good choices. The lift is a bit of an adventure!

A stunning building right in the centre of Southampton and with good parking. The room was generous and beautiful presented and the bathroom felt brand new. The central location meant that it was a bit noisy especially with the windows open but we really enjoyed our stay here. It was excellent value for money and the staff were really helpful.
