Holiday parks Overview

BIG4 Beachcomber Coconut Holiday Park features 14 kilometres of white sandy beach at the front of the property and a view of Dunk Island. Set in South Mission Beach in the Queensland region, this property backs on to the Cassowary conservation area and includes free WiFi throughout, an award winning swimming pool with a slide and waterfall and a TV/games room.
The staff at BIG4 Beachcomber Coconut Holiday Park can provide practical and local advice of things to do and see and the property can provide a complimentary tour booking service.The endangered Southern Cassowary bird is a regular visitor to the park, allowing guests to take a close look at this beautiful creature.
Accommodation is available for all budgets, some of them on the beach front and many with views of the beach. Ranging from unpowered camping accommodation to 2-bedroom spa villas, the entire park is nestled into the tropical award winning gardens.
Guests can enjoy a meal at the on-site restaurant or visit the kiosk which are both open every day at the property. You can play tennis at the property, and the area is popular for horse riding. A range of activities are offered in the area, such as snorkelling, diving and fishing.
The property is located a 2 hour drive south of Cairns and a 3 hour drive north of Townsville.

This open plan cabin offers an en suite bathroom, kitchenette and microwave, TV, air conditioning and a deck with outdoor setting. Located close to the pool and set in the award winning gardens.

Villa - 2 Bedroom - enter dates to see room photos

This spacious 2 bedroom villa has an en suite bathroom and separate toilet, fully equipped kitchen with open plan lounge/dining. TV/DVD, air conditioning, undercover parking and a large deck with outdoor setting.

Shack (Studio) - enter dates to see room photos

The same as the Beachfront Shacks but located one row back and with a beach glimpse, this accommodation is just moments from the shore of South Mission beach and the package includes full use of all park facilities. This cabin features a kitchenette with microwave, TV, air conditioning and a patio area with outdoor setting. Bathroom facilities and the park kiosk/cafe are located close by. Other facilities, set in the gardens include the swimming pool, playground, games room, tennis and basketball. BBQ's and laundry are on site.

Beachfront Villa - 2 Bedroom - enter dates to see room photos

Featuring a private entrance, this air-conditioned villa consists of 1 living room, 2 separate bedrooms and 1 bathroom with a walk-in shower and a hairdryer. The well-fitted kitchen features a stovetop, a refrigerator, kitchenware and an oven. A seating area with a flat-screen TV, a dining area and a patio are provided in this villa. Clean, comfortable, value for money. Sheet and towels were clean, based on how many people includes kids. It was only short stay, was happy with the stay, it is such natural place, cannot avoid the noise from the wildlife, possibly cassowaries birdsong？if u up early, u could spot many.

Everything! Super location, lovely apartment, clean, calm and quiet. The lady who checked us in and out was probably the nicest human we met on our month long trip. The stinger net is across the road and the beach is beautiful. We weren’t sure about staying in a caravan park as we hadn’t done it before, but this went way over our expectations. Pool was nice too. We will be back!

The cabin had recently been renovated so it looked nice and fresh. The staff were helpful and friendly. The pool with slide is perfect for the kids and us.

This exceeded my expectations about holiday parks: we didn`t have en suite bathroom, but the facilities were just accross our bungalo - clean and safe. Really enjoyed our stay here! Beach across the road - litterally.Bonus - you can meet cassoway in the morning if youre lucky.
