The room was big and well decorated. Staff were very kind and always available. Breakfast was amazing and we had something local and different to try every day. We got a message before we arrived with the exact location on the map for the Dar and the parking space.

Exceptional dar in the middle of the medina and close to the main sights. The daily changing breakfasts are a particular highlight. This was my second time at the property and I will return again.

Great location. Don't be put off by the scruffy Sousse streets. You will need Google maps to find it but close to main gate, and once you are there, so easy to find your way around. It's also very safe area and friendly helpful people. Only a 10 min walk to Monastir/Mahdia metro and just 2 minutes away from local yellow louages. Breakfast is different every day, wide variety and abundant, and great quality. Attentive service and helpful staff. Very comfortable and clean room.

By far the best thing about the property was its central location which was about 5 minutes walk from the main road. It was very close to the great Mosque, the Ribat, Koba local history museum, Zawiya sidi Bouraoui, zaouia Zakkak and of course the shops in Madina. Property was very clean and looked after by a few very dedicated and helpful ladies. They spoke good English. Rooms were a good size and well equipped with all the necessities. The breakfast great.

What an amazing place! Zaynab and her family have done a fantastic job in restoring this collection of Ottoman houses into a gorgeous boutique hotel over the last few years. It was truly a feast for the eyes, with secrets still to be discovered... The breakfast was the best I've ever had in the whole of North Africa, and that is over 100! I didn't see any tourists in the medina, so you can have a very authentic experience. I'm sure the Dar Lekbira will feature in travel magazines soon.
