The room and its view were absolutely beautiful. The location by the sea and the private beach with black lava sand and below the rock were stunning - so great this was still available in late autumn. Also the public areas, gardens, breakfast were excellent. Everyone I met was super friendly. I find it very commendable that the hotel so much appreciates and respects the design heritage of its architecture and interiors designed by Gio Ponti.

Breakfast was OK but the location/Terass it was served in was FANTASIC. Nice and clean and an AMAZING View from the room! ( Seaview high floor) Overall overpriced and not according the 5 Star we are used to. Simple rooms but clean. The Staff was very nice and kind but busy and not used to give personal service. Although the breakfast staff acted excellent and according to expectations. It felt somewhat like a Charterhotel with a lot of guests not a 5 Star luxury hotel. A bit old and in need for renovation in rooms. The service (valet) with the car was working fine but the extracharge should be included in price for room. 20 minutes walk to downtown was ok but longer than expected. Overall Overpriced and not according standard for a 5 star hotel expectations. Sincerelly, /Gunnar Sweden.

Original Gio Pont stylings were wonderful and we had a splendid room with sea view. Hotel was in beautiful grounds in a great cliffside location. Staff were unfailingly friendly and respectful. Lift down through the cliff to the private beach was great.

The location is perfect. Beautiful view overlooking the sea. Incredible sunset. We love sitting having a well-made cocktail in the evening. We love the design. It’s a Gio Ponti museum and should be listed! It’s our 3rd time staying here & we stay here because we love the design so much. The breakfast selection is wonderful as is the restaurant view. The pool and poolside is beautiful. We like the walk into Sorrento, yes it’s busy but you can walk on pavement most of the way. It takes about 20/25 minutes but we enjoy the stroll. Great pizza/pasta restaurant around the corner if you want to stay local.

1. The area and the park is wonderful, the sea view is amazing, the private beach is very useful 2. the design is excellent 3. The rooms are very comfortable, but may be a little bit 'tired' 4. The air conditioner works perfectly, silently and creates the ideal temperature without that usual draft. 5. The bed is comfortable. 6. The cleaners on the 2nd floor are very kind, neat and solve all everyday problems. 7. Diana works at the reception, she is very good and accurate, and there is another girl who speaks Russian, unfortunately, we saw her only before leaving, but she also seemed good and very responsible to me. 8. Most of the guys on the beach and the one who works at the pool are nice (but they may not make coffee after 40 minutes of waiting, as happened a couple of times).

Some of the staff were outstanding especially the cleaning staff Patrizia, Rosanna, and Daniella and the shuttle driver Luigi. In fact, they should train the front desk staff on what it means to provide good service. The hotel grounds are wonderful but the rooms need updating especially the bathrooms. The private beach is great but it is a bit of a walk to town and the shuttle doesn't run often enough and only has 7 seats.
