Did a spur of the moment booking, pleasantly surprised in what we discovered. Gorgeous place, hosts were super friendly, and hospitality was 110%. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and will be returning soon.

San Gabriel was a peaceful and gorgeous oasis of calm during a frenetic work trip. The cottage was exceptional with a full kitchen, deliciously comfortable bed and stunning views. The animals and gardens were a perfect spoil. The host Renier went out of his way to accommodate a very late check-in. Would love to return. Amazing value for money considering facilities were 5 star all-round.

We loved our stay at San Gabriel so much that we extended it with a third night. The owners and staff are so welcoming and go above and beyond to help you. The house is decorated with eye for detail: everywhere you look it's beautiful and overall just so pitoresque, you feel like you entered a movie scene. We immediately felt at home. The lovely pet dogs were a bonus! Would definitely recommend staying here and we will try to return for a visit in the future.

Comfortable, well appointed rooms with cozy fireplaces and electric blankets for the very chilly cape winter evenings. The farm is steeped in history and has a lovely atmosphere. The grounds are very beautiful - yet the location is ideal. Close to everything we needed. To top it all off - the hosts were so warm and welcoming.

Renier (the host), his family and his dogs made our stay exceptionally good. We had one of the cottages where literally everything was clean and fully equipped. Renier is always nice and responsive. We will definitely come back when we are in Stellenbosch/Somerset West area. Thank you :)

Absolutely loved this place. Amazing hosts, great cottages (we stayed in two different ones as we extended our stay) and a superb location. Everything close by but without behing in the middle of all the hustle-and-bustle.
