I arrived on a Sunday evening after a long and rainy drive. I hadn't realised that the restaurant finished serving early on a Sunday, and I arrived after it had closed and was both tired and hungry. The lovely Landlady came to my rescue and organised a roast dinner so I didn't go hungry. Later that evening there was pub quiz. I ended up staying for that - again the Landlady suggested I team up with two fellow travellers, a lovely couple from Wales, we won the quiz and donated the prize money to a local dog charity. A totally unexpected and fantastic evening!

A nice pub, with a pleasant bar/ restaurant area! It was spotlessly clean in the public area. The young staff (girls) were very pleasant and welcoming. The bedroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
