located in the most central part of the city, reachable by metro and 10-15 min walking from the station. in an old house, personnel tries to be polite, the place is clean, all over i was fine, comfortable bed, i only stayed from midnight to 9 am. keep in mind there is only english spoken, nobody speaks bulgarian (italian is spoken too since the receptionists are italian)

This is my favorite hostel in Sofia. The staff is very helpful and kind. I feel at home there. The location is very good, close to the central train and bus station, as well as to the metro station. It is practically in the top center of Sofia. It is very clean and the toilet paper smells good as the restrooms do.

Everything was okay - the location, the staff, the facilities, the cleanliness, etc. Unlike other hostels, Smart Hostel is brilliant and does whatever the guest needs. The team and the people are nice and friendly. There is a bedside light - very important not to disturb the roommates when you have a late arrival. The WC and shower area is not just clean, it smells good. Those smart people buy a little bit more expensive toilet paper that has a wonderful smell - so they do not need to buy extra sprays for the premises.
