We spent a few days at Rixile Kruger Lodge as a family, and it was easily one of our most memorable holidays. The lodge is right at the gate of Kruger National Park—literally a short walk away—so we could drive in the moment the park opened. That gave us a real edge. We saw almost every animal and bird imaginable, including rare sightings of leopard, cheetah, lions, hyena—and we even got charged at by two elephants! The early morning drives were the best, and being so close to the gate meant we were always among the first in. You can tell a lot of care went into the design of Rixile. The outdoor braai area, the pool, and the way you can throw open the sliding doors to create a seamless flow between the indoors and the extended patio—it gives you the feeling of being right in the middle of the bush, with all the comforts you could ask for. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, and we loved that there were both indoor and outdoor showers. If you're not keen on cooking, you can stroll to Kruger Lodge for meals. Firewood was stocked daily for the braai and fire pit, and our best conversations happened around that fire in the evenings. We were a mixed group—our kids visiting from the UK, our son working in Joburg, and our nephew from university. It’s not easy to find a place that suits everyone, but this one really did. Clinton was excellent from start to finish. He waited for us after dark when we arrived late, gave clear directions, and checked in on us every day to make sure we were okay. His care and attention were deeply appreciated. Highly recommend Rixile to anyone looking for a peaceful, stylish base for exploring Kruger. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a wonderful time. The villa is beautiful and totally emerged with nature. The kitchen is very well stocked, and the ice machine a bonus! We loved the boma braai! Clint was very attentive to every need, amazing client care!

Everything about this cottage was exceptional, located very close to Kruger Gate, accessibility was easy. Private, which we enjoyed the most, the cottage was clean need and modern with all the amenities one require for a longer stay away from home. Clint was excellent always checking if we are satisfied or need anything. We are definitely going back there for second trip to the Kruger National Park

Location is fantastic if you plan on visiting the Kruger National Park; Rixile is right around the corner. The apartment was clean and comfortable and our host couldn't do enough to help us settle in and enjoy our stay. The lodge is well equipped with all the essentials in place. The outdoor shower was a great bonus.

The property is 5 min from Paul Kruger gate and very private which we loved. We could come home to relax in our haven after a long game drive with our private pool, outdoor showers, AC, and fully functional kitchen. The staff were amazing and Clint was exceptional in making sure all our needs were met. I can highly recommend Rixile

Spacious, clean and modern lodge in very close proximity to the Paul Kruger Gate. Also has access to the Kruger Gate Hotel restaurants and pool. Clint was extremely hospitable and went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable and that all our needs were met! Daily housekeeping including washing and ironing of clothes as well as washing our dirty car the day we left was a pleasant surprise and is a rare service we have not encountered in our previous stays at other lodges!

It was a great stay, perfectly situated close to the Paul Kruger Gate. Clint made sure that we were well looked after and nothing was too big a job to accommodate! Absolutely no complaints.
