Room was modern, tidy, and private. Dinner (optional extra booked separately) was exceptional. Breakfast was varied and ample. Hosts were welcoming and genuine people with real local insight and stories. You should stay here.

The rooms are beautiful and the restaurant is excellent. We had a lovely meal cooked by the owner and got to know the other guests. Plus we saw the northern lights!

Birita and Martin are fantastic hosts who will happily share their 140-year (4 generation) family history in this building. Good breakfast is included. Meals are also available in either the cafe or restaurant. (I had a lovely home-cooked dinner in the Molin restaurant). The rooms are all in a nice new accommodation block built in 2021 and are very tastefully finished with a sofa, chair, and a small coffee table. There were tea / coffee facilities in the room and 2 USB ports for charging, plus high-speed WiFi. Toilet, sink and shower in the ensuite bathroom were all of a decent quality (although I would have liked to have had a bath mat to walk on to after showering so that I wouldn't have made the bathroom floor all wet). Oh... parking was free, and there were plenty of spaces available.

Mølin Guesthouse is located in Skalavik a little and quiet town in the island od Sandoy which is now conveniently connected with an underwater tunnel. Most of the guests spend only a couple of nights while we decided to stay for 10 days and we loved it: we were awaken every morning by the Fulmars and the Oystercatcher flying over our room and you could hear the waves of the see at night. Also, the weather is generally better in Sandoy than the other islands. The room is very light and space is very well organized with a comfortable sofa and a harm chair. Breakfast is very good and rich, hosted in the cafè overlooking the harbour. Birita and her husband are very nice guests. I warmly recommend to have dinner at least once (if not more :-) ) in the restaurant. Even the café menu is quite nice!

We loved it. Molins Guesthouse is a perfect place to switch off and immerse yourself in the wild nature. You can hear the wild birds whistling and you feel at home from the very first minute thanks to the hosts. The hosts give the guesthouse an extra nice charm. If you've read John Streleky's book “The Cafe at the End of the World” then you know what you're in for. We had great conversations, were able to explore Faroer Island away from the tourist crowds and, most importantly, we were able to switch off and relax. Thanks again to the hosts who made our stay unforgettable. The guesthouse is new and up to date, you feel comfortable and have a view of the sea. The dinner in the restaurant is first class and Sandoy is the perfect island to explore everything. We look forward to seeing you again!
