L'Isola Di Ortigia is the perfect place to stay if you want to explore Siracusa on foot. It is situated in the middle of the island of Ortigia, the oldest part of Siracusa, an amazing labyrinth of small streets and beautiful houses, full of restaurants and little stores. The market and a small beach are within easy walking distance. The room is perfect in size and feels very comfortable, the terrace is wonderful to spend the later afternoon and evening. Our host Anna looked after us with great care and discretion, provided us with everything and even gave us plates and napkins when she saw that we liked to have our lunch on the terrace. We were sad to leave and would come back anytime.

Located right in the beautiful old part of ortigia with a gorgeous roof terrace, near everything but also peaceful

Anne was a wonderful host, very amiable and discreetly went about making sure everthing was perfect. The bowl of fruit in the room was a nice touch and set a trend of buying wonderful fruit from Ortigia market. The terrace was a very pleasant place to relax, a great bonus in comparison to other rooms we considered. The room and ensuite was very clean with very high ceiling so always felt airy. The airconditioning unit was very efficient. The WiFi was good. L'Isola Di Ortigia is on an alleyway suitable for only pedestrians and of course, being Italy, motor bikes and scooters which meant it was pretty quiet given it's central location. It was great to have a double bed rather than two single beds pushed together. Sited pretty centrally so everything in easy walking distance. Ortigia itself is a great holiday base.
