We booked the suite with terrace, so good to have. Great outdoor space to relax after exploring and later in the evening for a drink. Fantastic breakfast so much choice

It was so good, like it would design Germans from Porsche Design in Italy. It was solid. Everything there was heavy, well designed. Great accessories, great furnitures, a lot of space. Awesome service - with smile, class and charm. We got sauna inside our apartament. Very spacey, very modern and classic at the same time. On of this place where everything is right. Nothing is cheap, nothing is plastic. All is marble, stone solid. And the bed - bed was like a dream. Many times we got great beds in some luxury hotels - but that one is the mother of all of them!

Byssus Suites is in an ideal location to access Ortigia, the archaeological park and the magnificent modern museum of Siracusa. The modern conversion of a vintage building is excellent resulting in very spacious suites which are immaculately presented. Ortigia is a 10 minute stroll with delightful local restaurants on the way. The archeological park and the fantastic museum are both a twenty minute stroll. The staff are welcoming, knowledgable and extremely friendly. Michele and Valentina went above and beyond our expectations. Their recommendations for places to visit outside of Siracusa were perfect for us. Breakfast is superb in every way. Again fantastic service every day. The associated fish restaurant, Onda Blu, lacks many reviews because the tables are all filled by local people. Our dinner there was fabulous . The best Rissotto Marinare that I’ve ever had. This is a serious fish restaurant, modern and bright, not candlelit, so you can see the quality of the food.

A spacious and well equipped suite, close to the rail and bus station, and a ten minute walk to the historic centre of Ortigia with a huge choice of restaurants and bars makes Byssus the ideal base to explore this wonderful old town. Very welcoming staff who were most helpful with advise relating to restaurants in the area.

Michele, “the boss”, was extremely careful, kind and welcoming. the hotel is absolutely perfectly beautiful, quiet, clean, and within a walk distance of every thing you’d want to see in this beautiful town.
