Nimmi was a really welcoming host and was so happy to help with booking taxis, arranging excursions and our onward plans. Breakfast was delicious every morning with fruit right from the trees around us! A good location, nearby to the town.

We had an amazing stay! The hospitality was truly exceptional – the hosts were incredibly kind, caring, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The location was good, and the people here are simply wonderful. They offered us to pick up / bring us literally everywhere by the host himself, and they even organized a driver for us. We also went on a safari with them, which was absolutely fantastic. We felt so well taken care of throughout our stay – highly recommended!

It was a nice place to stay, the house was really clean, and we had some amenities like a fridge or the kettle and the tea. The place was super nice, like in the little jungle but still close to some restaurants and shops. The shower had an electric heater so there were no problems with the hot water. The was a water squeegee in the bathroom that helped to remove water after the shower and it was really comfortable. The hosts were really nice, and we also liked the breakfasts

Everything about this place is amazing, but at the top is the family that run the place, they are the most helpful and delightful people I ever met in my travels, I cannot have enough kind words to describe the family, and the food WOW the best food I’ve eaten probably in my life, can’t recommend enough this place ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Gorgeous chalet Very clean Great location Large space Lovely breakfast Felt at home Organise safari (recommend!!) Beautiful family who really looked after us and made us feel at home Took us to the bus station with a little morning goody bag for our long journey

Nimmi made us feel so comfortable and gave us some helpful advice on tours and restaurants. Her cooking is sensational! We had the rice and curry for dinner and it was the best we had in Sri Lanka. Priya took us on an elephant safari and really made sure we saw as many elephants as possible. He even showed us some other cool spots of the village on the way back. The location is perfect and walking distance to many restaurants, convenience stores and Sigiriya rock. I honestly had the best experience staying here and got a feel of the village life.

The place was amazing! We were surrounded by nature and the family was beyond welcoming. We had the best time. They provided for us tuk tuks for our excursions and amazing breakfasts. Also, there is a lady who cooks delicious homemade meals.

The owner of the Sky Home contacted us on Booking.com when we made the booking and offered to organize a transfer from the International airport in Colombo. The transfer was very reasonable and he even booked 2 more transfers for us (from Sigiriya to Trincomalee and from Trincomalee to Kandy). The driver, Priya, was excellent! Our bags were delayed in the airport and he waited for 2 hours outside until we got them. Priya contacted me on WhatsApp the day before we flew with all the information I needed to find him in the airport. Both him, and the owner of the homestay were exceptional at communication. When we arrived from the airport, the owner organised a safari trip for us and the next day organised our tuk tuks for our hikes. Our Tuk Tuk driver was also Priya which was fantastic as we felt so comfortable with him. The owner cooked us dinner the night we arrived which was lovely and breakfast the next morning was basic but very nice. The room was perfect, with a hot shower and wifi.
