Shady Mango Villa is a nice little place, set back from the road, in easy walking distance to the little town and restaurants. The rooms were super clean and comfortable. There was no fridge, which would have been nice since it was very hot, but the hosts let us put drinks in their fridge, so that was great. The villa is expanding and they are adding rooms upstairs! When we arrived, construction was happening and was very loud, but they stopped and did not work during our stay. We really appreciated that! The birding on the property was good. We saw many species! The listing said they had bicycles for guests, but they did not. I was told the were all out for servicing. We ended up using a tuktuk to get to Lion Rock, but did walk back, so that is doable. They only take cash, so be prepared!

The homestay only has two rooms so room is very spacious, clean with great tranquil atmosphere. The owner’s family is cute, caring with each other. Food are delicious, juice is served every day. We also ordered dinner there for convenience.

The host family are lovely and were very accommodating of my requests for early breakfast and such like. The location was quiet, a short distance from the main touristic area. There are really good restaurants and coffee shops nearby, so you don’t need to walk far if you don’t want to. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

We have been welcomed by glass of fresh fruits juice. Extremely nice hosts who are always happy to help and organize everything that can be done in the area. They helped us with organizing Taxi from the airport on the last moment and prepared extra meal and early check-in for us. The room was spacy, neat and tidy. It was surrounded by the plant in a peaceful area, Few minutes walk distance to the centre of Sigirya, so all the local attractions were in walking distance.

Once we have arrived the host greated us with a drink and they were super polite to give us the room before the check in and organising the dinner as well for the night. The room is super cozy and has all comforts. Nearby there are a few restaurants where to eat, but to reach the city center you need to either walk or ask for a tuk tuk. I super recommend this accomodation!
