The breakfast was filling and delicious, the host and her family are very kind and lovely, the location allows easy access to the highlights of Sigiriya by scooter, bike or tuktuk. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious.

We felt at home away from home. The sweetest family, delicious breakfast and dinner. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The beds very comfy. And the house is just beautiful and close to the lake (worth a visit!). Thank you so much, we hope to ever come back ❤️

We loved staying at rock lake home stay. It is 20 minutes walking from the restaurant area in a very green quiet location next to the lake. The house is a typical Sri Lankan house with a beautiful garden. The room was comfy and clean. The family was super lovely and breakfasts were great! Highly recommended!

The most kind and wonderful host who gave us lots of tea and a tasty breakfast. The Homestay is located near lots of lovely cafes and restaurants. The room was clean and spacious. We would love to come back and visit again.

The host family was extremely nice. I was treated with fruits, coffee/tea, water whenever I wanted by the lovely guest mother. Breakfast and dinner were outstanding - such a good chef. 🧑🍳 Whether it was a piece of information on trains, sights or a tuktuk drive etc. the family always helped me. Even for the 5am morning hike to lion’s rock or an entire afternoon in Polonnaruwa, the son of the family drove me there (and around) with his tuktuk for which he asked reasonable prices. The room was clean, AC and everything worked well. Personal highlight: Being called for when there were wild elephants close to the backyard to watch them. Amazing! I clearly recommend this place when in Sigiriya.

Lovely host. The breakfast and dinner was great. The location is perfect if you want to visit the Sigiriya Lion Rock. The room is good but has some room for improvement.

Anoma is like your mum away from home. She and her family are amazing and super welcoming. I’m traveling alone and I felt super at home with them. The place is clean, pretty good WiFi considering you are in a village, and good value for money. We did a cooking class with her and Rosi, and it was amazing to see how they cook everyday meals in their home including different type of curry’s: dhal, pumpkin, chicken, potatoes and beans. I told her I liked coconut rotti and coconut sambal and she surprised me with it for breakfast the next day. Sometimes she has wild elephants in her garden at night and since she knew I liked them she came to my room to tell me there was a male one for me to see. Really recommend it here!

What a fabulous homestay with a genuinely kind hostess. Regular cups of tea and lots of care for my husband who was unwell. Make sure you have dinner at the homestay as the food is tasty and plentiful. We booked all tours through the homestay and found the prices to be very reasonable. Went on a brilliant safari and saw the gathering of elephants. As the hostess informed the driver of my interest in birds, he picked up a guide at the national park gate, which hugely enhanced our experience. For twitchers, there's a lake close by with lots of birds first thing in the morning. And the shady verandah is a great place to chill. A truly special place!
