The staff were super helpful and helped organise a driver for us to see sunrise at the mountain. Breakfast was local pancakes and really tasty.

Lovely welcoming hosts. Great location walking distance into Sigiriya Town. Tasty breakfast and a fantastic home cooked traditional meal in the evening.

Bhagi, the property manager went out of his way to ensure that my trip to Sigiriya ran smoothly. Not only did he help arrange transport to and from Sigiriya, he welcomed me on my arrival to Palitha Homestay and helped me get to and from Lion Rock and his recommended restaurant for dinner. Bhagi's hospitality is truly first class! The room itself was as described and well air-conditioned. I struggled a little with the hot water system, but got there in the end (just don't set your water pressure to max). Wi-Fi was strong and I was able to make several video calls and stream Netflix shows without issues! Bhagi mentioned there can be monkeys on the roof at night, so bring earplugs; with my earplugs in I couldn't hear much noise from outside at night. Breakfast consisted of an omelette, some toast, fruit, and tea. This is sufficient for me, but perhaps those accustomed to bigger breakfast spreads may need to consider this.

We had a very enjoyable stay here. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfasts and dinner were excellent. Bhagi(the manager) assisted us in sourcing medication for our daughter and provided valuable info on the sites and transport. Thank you again. We would definitely stay next time.

Wonderful host family who cook delicious meals! Great location for getting to Sigirya Rock and other attractions. Host family very helpful with arranging tuk tuks and taxis. I enjoyed my stay a lot and would happily stay again.

Everything has been a fantastic experience, from the way we got welcomed to the way the host explained us about the property and good advices he had for us. The room was fantastic, very spacious and cosy. The food we've been served (they can cook dinner at your request) was delicious. The location is fascinating, you are literally in the middle of the jungle and 15 min away from the famous Lion Rock. This is the place where to be!

Family were very welcoming and kind. The room and bathroom were spacious with working air con. We had breakfast and dinner at the Homestsy which were both delicious and a very good portion. Tuk tuk service was used which was a reasonable price. We rented bicycles from the Homestsy which was a good way to get around the town.
