probably one if the best airbnb in the world if you love nature, animals, peacefull environment. Everything easy, delicious food, boat on the lake seeing so many wild animals, like eagles, varans, monkeys, peacocks etc. The mom's food is delicious, everything natural, everything from the garden. if you want delucious fruits you just have to look around you.. there are everywhere. And Madawa is a super nice guy. He likes to receive hosts and you can feel it. You feel welcomed and at home. This place is a PARADISE. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. If you are reading this you should probably book it before someone else!

You immediately felt comfortable in the small cabin. If you love nature, this is the place to be. You have a wonderful view of the small elephant lake. It doesn't get quiet here due to the many animals. You had a bit of the feeling of a little safari. Our host himself was always available for us and super friendly. In the morning, we were cooked a delicious breakfast ourselves. It consisted of Rotti with curry and coconuts. Really very tasty and freshly prepared.

Madawa was just the best host, always a friendly smile in that face, you ll feel immediately home when you arrive. the surrounding is wildly beautiful, relaxing and he has done great work with everything there. he also helped us out with just everything and took us to sigiriyas little Town (few minutes) or to other places whenever we needed to and stayed for a chat in evening. he arranged a safari tour and even brought us to our next destination with his fast tuktuk. at the end, there was so much more than we asked for. we miss this lovly guy already, as his *balance* ;)

I had an absolute amazing stay at the Elephant Lake villa. It’s my favorite place in Sri Lanka so far! Booked for one night and ended up staying for three more nights. The place is amazing. I also had a boat ride on the lake with Madawa. He is an amazing host, really kind, and extremely caring towards his guest. The breakfast was good and he was extremely available. I am already so sad to leave and will book this amazing place without hesitation if I come back to Sri Lanka ! Thank you for everything.

Super place to spend the night! The family is very welcoming and they cook super tasty for you. We got a tip from the host that there were elephants at a lake nearby for the last 2 days. We went here that afternoon and with good luck spotted an elephant! Definitely recommended.

Don’t bother looking anywhere else. What an absolutely wonderful stay we had. Room was spotless with nice facilities, lovely (vaccinated) owners were so kind and accomodating. Willing to go out of their way to help us. The breakfast was large, tasty and filling.

Perfect quiet location, all you hear are sounds of Nature. Nice walk to Sigiriya Rock and many restaurants and shops, bus stop closeby. Owner is very lovely and kind and food was delicious. Thank you for your hospitality

We liked the location, because it was easy to reach the Lion rock. The lady was very helpful, she gave some good advice regarding what to visit and she organised our tour to the safari and provided us with a bike to move around. Last but not least, the breakfast was really good!
