This was a splendid choice. The suite was so spacious, beautifully furnished, very clean and had a lovely view. It was wonderful to be in the historic centre. The cherry brandy for a welcome drink was sweet but delicious. The included breakfast of yoghurt, croissant, tea/coffee and fruit was very welcome.

Stunning room, very spacious and such a great attention to details, gorgeous mural paintings, property was filled with antiques. Bed was big and very comfortable, the hosts were very friendly and attentive, even offered free breakfast and traditional drinks at arrival. Property was right in middle of the city, next to the Tower.

This is really is the ideal place to stay in Sighisoara in every respect. The location and character of the Taschler Haus are charming. We spent three nights there. The 'superior double' room was spacious, characterful, well-appointed and comfortable. Our host was most welcoming and made suitable arrangements for our arrival by car: after drop off at the front door, free parking nearby was arranged. We very much enjoyed meeting him and getting to know him a little bit. He has done a great job on researching the history of the house and creating what amounts to a small museum. The 'Day start' scaled-back breakfast was more than sufficient for our purposes and saved having to venture out for breakfast. Whole-heartedly recommended in all respects!

Dated 1626, the house has been nicely renovated by the landlord with frescas and objects from this time. The room was big, clean and comfortable. Everything in perfect condition. The breakfast wit croissants, cereals, fruits and yoghurts was a good surprise. The hosts are a very nice and responsive couple. The house is well located at the entrance of the citadelle.

Taschler Haus was a gem. Beautifully renovated and fitted out. The owners were so kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Our room was completely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. We could walk everywhere. Such a great location. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Just steps away from the town’s main attractions, this is a basic, but comfortable and clean place in a historical house with many many antiques and a very welcome personal touch. The owners provide advice on restaurants and sights, and even a breakfast. The solution to parking (at a nearby hotel) is perfect. Highly recommended.

Everything had been thought of and provided. Our hosts were always available, friendly, helpful. Our room was furnished with thought and attention to detail. The historical building is memorable. The location is ideal, central to the city, alongside the Old Town, and with good restaurants close by. The continental breakfast of fresh croissants (toast as an alternative), cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt, and coffee, was everything we wanted. The cobbles outside, the internal staircase (no lift), and some low doors were no problem. The cost is well below the real value.
